a) What are our other duties towards the Church?
Our other duties towards the Church include the following: to continue to study and promote the teachings of Christ, which the Church teaches; to prepare for the sacrament of Confirmation and to be confirmed; to observe the Church’s laws concerning marriage; to pray for our brothers and sisters in the Church, especially for the Holy Father and our legitimate superiors; and to pray for the holy souls in purgatory.
b) Why should an Altar Server know his duties towards the Church?
Our duties towards the Church are not burdens that we are forced to carry, but opportunities to serve God and others.
The Altar Server surely has friends with questions regarding our faith. He will be ready to answer them in a precise and appealing way if he studies and lives the Church’s teachings.
