8. Holy Rosary.

a. You may start with the prayers of the Visit to the Blessed Sacrament and Spiritual Communion.

b. Make the Sign of the Cross.

c. Recite the Apostles’ Creed.

d. Then: One (1) Our Father, three (3) Hail Marys, one (1) Glory Be.

e. For each decade: Start by meditating on the Mystery.

  • On the large bead say the Our Father.
  • On the ten (10) small beads say ten (10) Hail Marys.
  • Then recite one (1) Glory Be.
  • After each decade, recite the Fatima Prayer:
  • O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, bring all souls to heaven, especially those who need most your divine mercy.

f. Mysteries of the Rosary:

JOYFUL MYSTERIES (Mondays and Saturdays).

  1. The Annunciation.
  2. The Visitation.
  3. The Nativity.
  4. The Presentation in the Temple.
  5. The Finding of the Child Jesus in the Temple.

LUMINOUS MYSTERIES (Thursdays).

  1. The Baptism of Jesus at the Jordan River.
  2. The Self-manifestation of Jesus at the Wedding in Cana.
  3. The Proclamation of the Kingdom of God and the Call to Conversion.
  4. The Transfiguration.
  5. The Institution of the Eucharist.

SORROWFUL MYSTERIES (Tuesdays and Fridays).

  1. The Agony in the Garden.
  2. The Scourging at the Pillar.
  3. The Crowning with Thorns.
  4. The Carrying of the Cross.
  5. The Crucifixion and Death of our Lord.

GLORIOUS MYSTERIES (Sundays and Wednesdays).

  1. The Resurrection.
  2. The Ascension.
  3. The Descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles.
  4. The Assumption.
  5. The Coronation of the Blessed Virgin.

g. After the fifth mystery, say the Hail, Holy Queen.

h. Then say the following prayer:

Let us pray. O God, whose only-begotten Son, by his life, death, and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, grant, we beseech thee, that meditating upon these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
