a) What is the human community?
A human community is a group of persons united in an organized way. The family, school, parish, organizations, town or city, province, and country are examples of communities.
Every human community needs an authority to guide it. This leadership, exercised by parents, teachers, priests, officers, public officials, and so on, is a form of service to us, that comes from God himself.
b) Why should an Altar Server understand what the human community is?
Human beings are social by nature, and thus need to belong to a community.
We cannot live without others or think only of ourselves. Each one of us has a role to play to contribute to the common good, principally by doing our ordinary duties well, which includes obeying all our lawful authorities.
An Altar Server should exercise servant leadership by serving the members of the community in the best way that he could, and never abuse his position to gain benefits for himself.
