a) What does it mean for man to know and love God?
God in his infinite goodness created man, to share in his life here on earth and later in heaven. God has always been close to man to show him the way to happiness. Man, in turn, has to do his part by responding to this call of God.
To know and love God means to enter into a personal relationship with him, bringing him into our life and always following his will.
b) How can an Altar Server know and love God?
An Altar Server can know and love God by praying frequently, offering sacrifices, receiving the sacraments, studying the doctrine, reaching out to others, and doing his daily tasks, especially his studies and household chores, as well as he can.
Entering into a personal relationship with God leads us to help others in their needs. Through this, we make others experience God’s love, and lead them closer to God and help them in turn to respond to God’s call.
